Richard Burns; General Contractor, Custom Fabricator, Metal Artisan. Owner of Heavy Metal.

Heavy Metal is a solely owned company run by one of the best, if not the best metal fabricators in the state of California. Richard Burns started his career at the age of 14 in the oilfields of Bakersfield where he made his way through the ranks of some of the most technologically based companies in existence (to name a few: Rocketdyne (Rockwell International), Garret Airesearch, Borg Warner Nuclear Valve Division). Richard then took his welding and fabrication talents and formed a company over 27 years ago named Heavy Metal, specializing in both residential and commercial applications. He works with everything metal; from certified structural steel to metals both common and exotic. He specializes in artistically based projects; examples include custom art projects, stainless steel railings, stainless steel countertops, certified structural welding, laser cutting, and proprietary custom finishes.
